Kristiyan Sakalyan is a Research Scientist at Helmholtz Munich in the Explainable Machine Learning group led by Prof. Dr. Zeynep Akata. His research broadly focuses on deep generative models and optimal transport. He received both his B.Sc. in Computer Science and his M.Sc. in Data Engineering & Analytics from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and has also gained industry experience at Rohde & Schwarz and Airbus Defence & Space, where he worked on large-scale machine learning systems and production-grade ML pipelines.
